A circus acrobat from Ukraine has reportedly passed away at the age of 28 after falling from a rooftop swimming pool at a luxury villa inside the Chalong district of Phuket, Thailand.<\/p>\n

The victim was identified as Veronika Kobzova, who fell at about 3:30 am, when she had been drinking beer with two friends. She apparently walked along the edge of the rooftop pool and made a misstep, plunging about 50 feet to an alley below.<\/p>\n

She was rushed to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead at about 4 am, less than an hour after the fall, having sustained severe head and chin injuries.<\/p>\n

Police at the Chalong Police Station reported that the pool edge lacked adequate safety barriers, and authorities are currently investigating potential negligence in the villa\u2019s construction or rental safety compliance.<\/p>\n

There is no indication of foul play at this stage; the incident appeared to be just a tragedy, authorities mentioned. \u201cVeronika, we will always remember you. I love you, our whole family is in mouring!\u201d- the message from her family read.<\/p>\n
