A new nationwide poll has drawn a sharp response from the former president after revealing that Americans still prefer Barack Obama to Donald Trump.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"381\" data-end=\"557\">According to a Marquette University survey of 1,005 U.S. adults, 57% view Obama favorably compared to 42% for Trump\u2014giving Obama a +17 favorability rating versus Trump\u2019s -15.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"559\" data-end=\"725\">Speaking at a Nebraska Democratic Party gala, Biden blasted Trump\u2019s leadership and mocked his decision to demolish part of the White House East Wing for a ballroom.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"727\" data-end=\"921\">\u201cI knew Trump would take a wrecking ball to the country, but I didn\u2019t know it would be literal,\u201d Biden said. \u201cHe\u2019s wrecked not just the people\u2019s house, but the Constitution and our democracy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"923\" data-end=\"1108\">Biden also slammed Trump\u2019s claim that America is in a \u201cgolden age.\u201d<br data-start=\"990\" data-end=\"993\" \/>\u201cThe only gold is the stuff he\u2019s hanging on the mantle,\u201d Biden said. \u201cYou work for us\u2014not just the billionaires.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1110\" data-end=\"1362\">His comments come months after revealing his prostate cancer diagnosis, described as \u201caggressive\u201d with bone metastasis.
