A 65-year-old man passed away in the famous Grand Canyon location after tragically slipping over the edge and falling more than 100 feet as per the Sheriff\u2019s office.<\/p>\n

The incident took place in the Guano Point area of Grand Canyon West, as per the Mohave County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n

A 65-year-old male had slipped and fallen over the edge into the canyon and was deceased, the sheriff\u2019s office search and rescue team added.<\/p>\n

They described how they were called in to assist the team with technical recovery at nearly 2 pm on Thursday. Search and Rescue replied and located him at nearly 130 feet down on a scree pile. Technical rope technicians set up a lowering and raising system using ropes to recover him and convey the body to the Mohave County Medical Examiner\u2019s office.<\/p>\n
