Mother Savannah Bliss told the media that Gunner was injured while in his father\u2019s care as she visited the baby\u2019s twin sister in the NICU. Gunner and his sister Madelyn were born at 34 weeks and were still hospitalized when the incident happened.<\/p>\n
Twenty-two-year-old Noah Benjamin Bliss was arrested at WakeMed and charged with first-degree murder, child abuse, and inflicting serious bodily injury on his 3-week-old son. Staff told Savannah that Gunner showed signs of being violently shaken, suffering brain bleeding and swelling but no external injuries. He was removed from life support on Monday night.<\/p>\n
