The firestorm began when\u00a0Megyn Kelly<\/a>, on the Nov. 12 episode of\u00a0The Megyn Kelly Show<\/em>, appeared to downplay Epstein\u2019s predatory behavior.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was into the barely legal type. Like, he liked 15-year-old girls,\u201d Kelly said, later adding, \u201cThere\u2019s a difference between a 15-year-old and a 5-year-old, you know?\u201d<\/p>\n

The remarks ignited rage online, sparking the hashtag #iWasFifteen, with women posting photos of themselves at 15 to show just how young Epstein\u2019s victims were.<\/p>\n

Melissa Gilbert<\/a>\u00a0joined in \u2014 and what she saw when she Googled herself at 15 hit her like a punch to the gut.<\/p>\n

Gilbert shared photos from\u00a0Little House<\/em>, showing herself at just 15, in love scenes with Dean Butler, who was 23.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am actually nauseated,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe girl on vacation in Hawaii with her family, is the same girl who was expected to \u2018fall in love with\u2019 and kiss a man on film who was several years older than she was. Through the lens of today, this is shocking. I have no words other than to say, \u2018I WAS A CHILD.\u2019 \u2018I WAS FIFTEEN.\u2019 And I was the good news.\u201d<\/p>\n
