Most moms agree pregnancy and labor can be scary\u2014you just want a healthy, crying baby. But one mom faced the unthinkable when her newborn son needed a ventilator.<\/p>\n

Lisa Hough shared a photo of her grandson Karson and the heartbreaking situation her daughter Chelsea faced. Karson was born with multiple medical complications: a hemorrhage in his left temporal lobe and a rare genetic disorder called Non-ketotic hyperglycinemia (NKH). Doctors said he would be severely neurologically impaired.<\/p>\n

Given the prognosis, his mother made the agonizing decision to remove life support. The family was told he would not breathe on his own and would likely pass within minutes.<\/p>\n

But, as Lisa shared, \u201cGod had other plans.\u201d Once the ventilator was removed, Karson began breathing independently. His heart and oxygen levels stabilized, he swallowed on his own, and even opened his eyes.<\/p>\n

Doctors had no medical explanation. Lisa called it a miracle, grateful for every moment they had with him.<\/p>\n

On March 1, the family received joyful news\u2014Karson would be coming home. Support poured in online, with tens of thousands celebrating his survival and progress.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
