The accident happened Monday around 9 p.m. as she crossed West 53rd Street and Broadway. She suffered severe head and body trauma and was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai West Hospital.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"386\" data-end=\"501\">The 61-year-old driver stayed at the scene and currently faces no charges. Police say the investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"503\" data-end=\"669\">Davis moved to New York in her 20s to pursue stand-up comedy before transitioning to acting.
