Mitzi Gaynor<\/span><\/span> has died peacefully of natural causes at 93, her management confirmed on October 17. She was best known for her movie musicals and television specials, especially her starring role in South Pacific<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n

Born Francesca Marlene de Czanyi von Gerber in Chicago in 1931, Gaynor was raised in a musical family and trained in dance after moving to Los Angeles.
