The courtroom froze. My wife, Lenora, had been smiling all morning, certain she\u2019d win the divorce\u2014our house, savings, full custody, and $4,200 a month in child support. I was supposed to sign and walk away broke.<\/p>\n

Instead, I handed the judge an envelope.<\/p>\n

Inside were DNA results for our three children.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am not the biological father of any of them,\u201d I said.<\/p>\n

The room went silent. The judge reviewed the certified results and asked Lenora directly if they were true. After trying to deflect, she finally admitted it: the children were not mine by blood.
