Music has the power to comfort, inspire, and calm people in difficult moments. At Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center<\/span><\/span> in Boston<\/span><\/span>, patient transporter Lindon Beckford<\/span><\/span> has been using his voice to do just that for over 30 years.<\/p>\n

Beckford, who has loved singing since childhood, began singing to comfort himself at work but soon realized patients were listening and feeling better. Now he often sings while transporting them, choosing songs that match their mood and help ease their anxiety.<\/p>\n
