Ally Langdon<\/span><\/span> struggled to hold back tears as she interviewed the parents of 13-year-old Esra Haynes<\/span><\/span>, who died after trying a dangerous viral trend known as \u201cchroming.\u201d<\/p>\n

Esra, described as fun, talented, and full of life, went to a normal sleepover\u2014but inhaling aerosol deodorant caused cardiac arrest and severe brain damage. After eight days on life support, her parents, Andrea and Paul, were forced to make the heartbreaking decision to let her go.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was the call no parent ever wants,\u201d her father said. \u201cWe cuddled her until the end.\u201d<\/p>\n

The tragedy left the family and community shattered. Her parents had never even heard of chroming before it took their daughter\u2019s life.<\/p>\n

Now, they are raising awareness about the deadly trend, urging parents to talk openly with their children.<\/p>\n
