Actor Richard Romanus is best known for his roles in films including \u201cMean Streets,\u201d \u201cPoint of No Return,\u201d \u201cWizards\u201d and \u201cHeavy Metal.\u201d His last acting role was in Disney\u2019s \u201cThe Young Black Stallion\u201d in 2003.<\/p>\n
Now, Romanus\u2019s son, Robert, has shared the sad news that his father has died. He was 80 years old.<\/p>\n
Robert told TMZ that his father died on December 23, 2023. He was at a private hospital in Volos, Greece, at the time of his death. He did not share an official cause of death.<\/p>\n
Romanus was born in Vermont and originally considered a career in law. After one year of studying at the University of Connecticut Law School, he dropped out and moved to New York, where he studied with Lee Strasberg at the Actor\u2019s Studio.<\/p>\n
His first on-screen performance was in the 1968 film \u201cThe Ghastly One.\u201d From there, he went on to act in the 1970 films \u201cMission: Impossible,\u201d \u201cWalk the Walk\u201d and \u201cNight Chase.\u201d<\/p>\n
Notable TV credits include \u201cFoul Play,\u201d \u201cStrike Force,\u201d \u201cJohnny Bago\u201d and \u201cThe Sopranos.\u201d<\/p>\n
