Daphne Selfe, recognized as the world\u2019s oldest professional model, has died at 97. Guinness World Records named her the oldest working female model in 2023. She passed away on March 21, 2026, at a care home, confirmed by her daughter.<\/p>\n

Selfe remained active until June 2025, completing her final modeling job at a Vogue luncheon during Royal Ascot Ladies Day. Her family celebrated her life as one of fashion, people, and horses, saying she will continue to inspire.<\/p>\n

Born in London in 1928, Selfe began modeling in the 1940s and returned to the industry in later years, becoming a standout for her natural gray hair and elegance. She worked with top magazines and brands like Dolce & Gabbana, Nivea, and Olay, walking runways into her 90s.<\/p>\n
