Former New York Jets quarterback Browning Nagle has died at age 57 after a battle with colon cancer, according to reports.<\/p>\n

Nagle, born in 1968 in Indiana, was a standout college QB at the University of Louisville, where his strong arm and performance, including a Fiesta Bowl MVP win over Alabama, made him a top NFL prospect.<\/p>\n

He was selected 34th overall in the 1991 NFL Draft\u2014just after Brett Favre\u2014and was seen as a potential long-term starter for the Jets. However, his NFL career never fully met expectations.<\/p>\n

Nagle played three seasons with the Jets, later spending time with the Colts and Falcons, finishing with 14 starts, 8 touchdowns, and 20 interceptions.<\/p>\n
