Twelve years ago, during an early morning trash route, I found something that changed my life\u2014two baby girls, abandoned in a stroller in the freezing cold.<\/p>\n

After weeks of checks and interviews, we learned the twins were profoundly deaf. Many families would\u2019ve walked away\u2014but we didn\u2019t. We chose them.<\/p>\n
