French actress Nadia Fares has died at 57 after being found unconscious in a swimming pool at a gym in Paris. Authorities have opened an investigation, though no foul play has been identified so far.<\/p>\n

Fares, born in Morocco, gained international fame in 2000 with The Crimson Rivers<\/em> and later appeared in films like War<\/em> and Storm Warning<\/em>. On television, she starred alongside G\u00e9rard Depardieu in Netflix\u2019s Marseille<\/em> from 2016 to 2018.<\/p>\n

She was also preparing for a new project in 2026 as a director and screenwriter, which will now not take place.<\/p>\n

Her daughters confirmed her death, calling her \u201ca great artist\u201d and saying, \u201cfor us, it is above all a mother we have just lost.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fares was hospitalized after suffering cardiac arrest on April 11 and later died in intensive care. Reports note she previously underwent brain surgery for an aneurysm and had multiple heart surgeries.<\/p>\n

Her daughter Cylia paid an emotional tribute, calling her \u201cmy best friend\u201d and saying she will \u201cmake every day count\u201d in her memory.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
