My 8-year-old daughter Mia kept saying her bed felt \u201ctoo tight.\u201d I first thought she was imagining it, then replaced her mattress\u2014but the feeling came back.<\/p>\n

To be safe, I installed a camera in her room. Most nights looked normal until 2:00 a.m., when I got a motion alert.<\/p>\n

On the feed, Mia was asleep\u2014but the mattress was subtly moving, lifting and dipping as if something was underneath it.<\/p>\n

I rushed in. Everything looked normal. But when I checked under the mattress, I found a hidden black tube and cable leading to a small recording device taped under her bed.<\/p>\n

I took Mia to another room and called the police.<\/p>\n

She then mentioned a \u201ccable man\u201d who had been in her room alone the week before, supposedly for internet work.<\/p>\n

Officers said they would investigate the company.<\/p>\n
