Actor and writer Michael Patrick has died at 35 after battling Motor Neuron Disease.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Irish actor, known for a small role in Game of Thrones<\/em> Season 6, passed away in Northern Ireland Hospice while surrounded by family and friends, his wife Naomi Sheehan confirmed.<\/p>\n

He was diagnosed with Motor Neuron Disease in February 2023, an incurable condition that progressively affects nerve function and movement.<\/p>\n

In a tribute, Sheehan said he died peacefully after 10 days in hospice care, describing him as a joyful, inspiring person with \u201cinfectious laughter\u201d and strong spirit. She also shared his favorite quote encouraging people to \u201ceat, drink, love.\u201d<\/p>\n

Patrick revealed in his final social media post that doctors had given him about a year to live, though he remained focused on future plans.<\/p>\n

A Cambridge graduate and Royal Shakespeare Company performer, he appeared in productions such as Measure for Measure<\/em> and The Taming of the Shrew<\/em>. Even after his diagnosis, he continued acting, notably playing the lead in Richard III<\/em> at Belfast\u2019s Lyric Theatre in 2024.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
