I let it sit for a moment before replying. \u201cYes,\u201d I said calmly. \u201cThere is.\u201d<\/p>\n

James didn\u2019t ask further. \u201cI\u2019ll handle it,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

I ended the call and drove back to the resort, arriving the same way I had before\u2014but this time without hesitation.<\/p>\n
