Samuel Monroe Jr., known for Menace II Society<\/em>, is currently on life support at a Los Angeles hospital after being diagnosed with meningitis and MRSA pneumonia, according to TMZ.<\/p>\n

His wife, Shawna Stewart, says the 52-year-old actor\u2019s condition is critical and worsening, with limited treatment options remaining despite additional antibiotics. He has reportedly been on life support for several days, and his prognosis remains uncertain.<\/p>\n

Stewart said Monroe first contracted meningitis about 18 months ago while filming in Las Vegas, but repeated misdiagnoses allowed it to progress. Over the past nine months, he has spent extensive time in hospitals and rehab centers as his family continues to support him.<\/p>\n

A GoFundMe organized by his stepdaughter, Tayonna Stewart, has been launched to help cover mounting medical costs, with support from donors including radio host Big Boy. The family has paused work and traveled frequently to be by his side.<\/p>\n

If he survives, doctors expect he will require long-term, around-the-clock care. The fundraiser may also help with funeral costs if needed.<\/p>\n
