Actor Beau Starr<\/strong>, known for roles in Goodfellas<\/strong> and the Halloween<\/strong> franchise, has died at 81. His brother, actor Mike Starr, confirmed he passed away peacefully of natural causes on April 24, 2026, at his home in Vancouver, Canada.<\/p>\n

Before acting, the Queens-born star played football for the CFL\u2019s Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Montreal Alouettes, and spent time with the New York Jets. He began acting in his mid-30s, debuting in 1980 before building a long TV and film career.<\/p>\n

Starr is best remembered for playing Henry Hill\u2019s father in Goodfellas<\/strong> alongside Ray Liotta, Robert De Niro, and Joe Pesci, as well as Sheriff Ben Meeker in Halloween 4<\/strong> and Halloween 5<\/strong>. He also appeared in shows like Knight Rider, The A-Team, MacGyver,<\/strong> and Moonlighting<\/strong>, with his final credited role in Psych<\/strong> (2013).<\/p>\n
