The body of Oklahoma Republican state Senate candidate Barry Christian, 54, was found inside his truck in a remote area Thursday, authorities said.<\/p>\n

Christian, who was running for District 38, had been reported missing two days earlier after failing to attend a scheduled meeting. Investigators later located his 2024 Ram truck off Highway 30 near Erick, close to a ravine in the Sandy Sanders Wildlife Management Area, where a body was discovered inside. Rough terrain delayed recovery and identification.<\/p>\n

Officials have not determined the cause or circumstances of his death, and the investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n

Christian had recently been active on the campaign trail, posting an invitation to a local meet-and-greet event days before his disappearance.<\/p>\n
