A South African businessman, Gabriel Batista<\/span><\/span>, 59, went missing after his car became stuck while crossing the Komati River in northeastern South Africa.<\/p>\n

Police later found his vehicle empty, launching a search operation. Four days afterward, authorities discovered a large Nile crocodile with a heavily swollen stomach, which was shot and removed from the river.<\/p>\n

A post-mortem reportedly found human remains inside the crocodile, including body parts believed to belong to Batista, though DNA tests are still pending to confirm identity.<\/p>\n

Officials said it is still unclear whether he drowned first or was killed in the attack. Batista, who owned a local inn and sports bar, was described by friends and customers as a well-liked family man.<\/p>\n
