Robert Irwin, son of the late \u201cCrocodile Hunter\u201d Steve Irwin, has grown up working with deadly animals and continues his family\u2019s conservation legacy.<\/p>\n

Steve Irwin tragically died in 2006 after being struck by a stingray, but his passion for wildlife lives on through Robert, now 22, who works at Australia Zoo alongside his mother Terri and sister Bindi.<\/p>\n

Robert regularly handles crocodiles, snakes, and other dangerous animals for research and conservation, often using methods inspired by his father.<\/p>\n

During a 2026 appearance on The Tonight Show<\/em>, Robert told Jimmy Fallon a wild story about a 14-foot crocodile he nicknamed after the host. While working with it, the crocodile \u201cdeath rolled\u201d him, briefly trapping him under its weight.<\/p>\n

Despite the frightening moment, he escaped unharmed and joked about it during the interview.<\/p>\n
