Broadway actor and social media personality Bret Hanna-Shuford<\/span><\/span> has died at 46. His husband, Stephen Hanna-Shuford<\/span><\/span>, shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram, saying Bret passed away peacefully surrounded by family.<\/p>\n

Bret was known for his performances in Wicked<\/span><\/span>, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang<\/span><\/span>, Amazing Grace<\/span><\/span>, and Paramour<\/span><\/span>. He also appeared in The Wolf of Wall Street<\/span><\/span>, Law & Order: SVU<\/span><\/span>, Only Murders in the Building<\/span><\/span>, and voiced characters in Red Dead Redemption 2<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, Bret was diagnosed with rare immune-related conditions, including T-cell lymphoma. A fundraiser created by friends raised over $300,000 to help with medical expenses and support his family.<\/p>\n

Together with Stephen, Bret ran the popular \u201cBroadway Husbands\u201d social media account, sharing their lives as performers, partners, and parents to their 3-year-old son, Maverick.
