NBC Host Sara Gore Reveals Breast Cancer Diagnosis<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sara Gore has announced that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer and will step away from her hosting roles on NBC New York\u2019s Open House<\/em> and New York Live<\/em> to undergo treatment and surgery.<\/p>\n

Speaking on New York Live<\/em>, she said, \u201cI was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, and I\u2019m going to be stepping away for treatment and surgery,\u201d adding that she felt scared sharing the news publicly.<\/p>\n

Gore, 49, shared that with a family history of breast cancer, she knew she was high-risk, but said the diagnosis still came as an emotional shock, even after early detection.<\/p>\n

Despite stepping away, she said she is in good hands with doctors and supported by family and colleagues, whom she described as her \u201cwork family.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added that the experience has made her reflect on life and what truly matters, saying she is trying to find meaning and a \u201cgift\u201d in the difficult moment.<\/p>\n
