Jeannie Seely, the Grammy-winning singer and longtime Grand Ole Opry member, has died at the age of 85.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"246\" data-end=\"518\">Seely passed away on August 1 at Summit Medical Center in Tennessee due to complications from an intestinal infection. She had faced serious health challenges throughout 2025, including multiple back surgeries, emergency abdominal procedures, ICU treatment, and pneumonia.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"520\" data-end=\"752\">Known as \u201cMiss Country Soul,\u201d Seely built a legendary career spanning more than six decades. She rose to fame in 1966 with her hit song <strong data-start=\"656\" data-end=\"677\">\u201cDon\u2019t Touch Me,\u201d<\/strong> which earned her a Grammy Award for Best Female Country Vocal Performance.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"754\" data-end=\"1033\">A Grand Ole Opry member since 1967, Seely became known for her powerful voice, emotional performances, and groundbreaking personality in country music.
