Brad Pitt Opens Up About His Darkest Years \u2014 And Reveals A Major Change<\/strong><\/p>\n

After decades as one of Hollywood\u2019s biggest stars, Brad Pitt has opened up about one of the most difficult chapters of his life.<\/p>\n

The 62-year-old Oscar winner spoke about the emotional toll of his divorce from Angelina Jolie, strained family relationships, and a period when he said the pain became so overwhelming that he experienced suicidal thoughts.<\/p>\n

Pitt emphasized that he never intended to act on those thoughts, but admitted he reached an extremely dark place while dealing with what he described as \u201cfamily stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n

After his separation from Jolie, Pitt stopped drinking and turned to Alcoholics Anonymous, eventually maintaining sobriety for seven years.<\/p>\n

But now, he says that chapter has changed.<\/p>\n

In a new Esquire interview, Pitt revealed that he has started drinking alcohol again.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was sober for seven years. And then I got back off the wagon,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

However, Pitt explained that he now understands his limits and tries to keep his drinking controlled.<\/p>\n

His honesty comes years after he publicly discussed how AA helped him rebuild his life.<\/p>\n

Despite the turmoil, Pitt has continued working and remains one of Hollywood\u2019s most recognizable stars.<\/p>\n
