She had been diagnosed with breast cancer at 24, but continued pursuing her television career despite years of treatment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Born in Dallas in 1994, Suggs studied film at Baylor University before moving to Los Angeles. She began as an intern on <em>Big Brother<\/em> and later worked with writer-producer Jason Katims, with early credits connected to <em>Parenthood<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Suggs joined <em>My Life with the Walter Boys<\/em> in its first season as a story editor before becoming co-producer for Seasons 2 and 3. She was also working on the upcoming fourth season when she died.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Her other credits included Amazon Prime\u2019s <em>It\u2019s Not Like That<\/em> and <em>As We See It<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Her sister, Liz Suggs, said Jesikah refused to let cancer define her, describing her as someone who continued showing up to work with courage and determination.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">After her diagnosis, Suggs underwent a double mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiation.
