A birthday celebration ended in tragedy on the night of August 16, when a mother and her two daughters were killed in a fiery highway crash in California.<\/p>\n
Vanessa Sue Wetmore, 51, and her daughters Kylie, 20, and Kloie, 16, had attended a concert in Fresno to celebrate Kloie\u2019s upcoming 17th birthday.<\/p>\n
While driving home on Highway 99 near Bakersfield shortly after midnight, their vehicle was struck by a wrong-way driver traveling north in the southbound lanes.<\/p>\n
Their car caught fire, and all three were pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
The crash remains under investigation.<\/p>\n
Their son and brother, Seth, who was not with them that night, was preparing to celebrate his 16th birthday on August 20\u2014the same day Kloie would have turned 17.<\/p>\n
