Actress Dee Freeman Dies at 66 After Battle With Cancer \ud83d\udc94<\/h1>\n

Actress Dolores \u201cDee\u201d Freeman, best known for her roles on The Young and the Restless<\/em> and Tyler Perry\u2019s Sistas<\/em>, has sadly passed away at 66.<\/p>\n

Her family confirmed that she died peacefully on April 2, 2026, following a brave battle with stage 4 lung cancer.<\/p>\n

Born in Louisiana in 1959, Freeman served six years in the U.S. Marine Corps before pursuing her passion for acting. She made her television debut in 1995 on Coach<\/em> and went on to build a two-decade career in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n

Her publicist described Dee as a woman of \u201cgrace, strength, and authenticity,\u201d saying her legacy would live on not only through her work, but through the way she made people feel.<\/p>\n

Freeman leaves behind two children, Amber and Shane, who she considered her greatest pride.<\/p>\n

Shane was beside his mother during her final moments. When he asked how she was doing, she replied:<\/p>\n

\u201cCan\u2019t complain. On the other side doesn\u2019t do you any good.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n
