Anthony Head, Beloved \u2018Buffy\u2019 and \u2018Ted Lasso\u2019 Actor, Dies at 72 \ud83d\udc94<\/h3>\n

British actor Anthony Head, best known for his roles in Buffy the Vampire Slayer<\/em> and Ted Lasso<\/em>, has died at 72.<\/p>\n

His daughters, actresses Emily and Daisy Head, confirmed that he passed away peacefully from complications related to pneumonia, surrounded by family.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Head became internationally loved as Rupert Giles, the wise librarian and mentor on Buffy the Vampire Slayer<\/em>. Decades later, he gained a new generation of fans as Rupert Mannion in Ted Lasso<\/em>.<\/p>\n

His career spanned more than four decades and included television, film and theater roles in Doctor Who<\/em>, Merlin<\/em>, Little Britain<\/em>, The Iron Lady<\/em> and Repo! The Genetic Opera<\/em>.<\/p>\n

His daughters described him as an \u201cextraordinary father\u201d and said it was an honor to witness the impact he and his work had on so many.<\/p>\n

He is survived by Emily, Daisy and his brother, actor and singer Murray Head.<\/p>\n
