She Ran a Red Light \u2014 Then Silently Begged the Officer for Help<\/strong><\/p>\n

Officer Kayla Wallace was almost finished with her shift when she pulled over a white Jeep for running a red light.<\/p>\n

At first, it looked like a routine traffic stop.<\/p>\n

But while the male passenger wasn\u2019t looking, the female driver repeatedly mouthed two words to Officer Wallace:<\/p>\n

\u201cHELP ME.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

The officer immediately separated the passenger and placed him in the back of her patrol car.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s when the woman revealed the terrifying truth: she said the man had shot someone and forced her to drive the getaway car at gunpoint.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A BOLO was issued, and police arrested 29-year-old Collins Bates. He was charged with attempted murder, kidnapping, and weapons offenses related to the shooting.<\/p>\n

A simple traffic violation led to something much bigger.<\/p>\n

One officer stopped a car. Another crime may have been stopped, too.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
