On a new podcast alongside her brother, former First Lady Michelle Obama opened up about details of her personal life, reports\u00a0The New Yor<\/em>k<\/em>\u00a0Times<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The podcast, titled IMO, premiered on Wednesday and the trailer featured insights into Michelle\u2019s marriage as rumors of her divorce from former President Barack Obama filled headlines.<\/p>\n

\u201cI couldn\u2019t have gotten through eight years in the\u00a0White House\u00a0without my big brother,\u201d Michelle said speaking of her role as a first lady between 2009 and 2017.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2026 being married to the president of the United States [is a] thing that that none of us kind of banked on. We knew Barack was smart and ambitious, but, you know\u2026,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

She explained that on their podcast, she and Craig, who serves as the executive director of the National Association of Basketball Coaches, would be answering questions from viewers about \u201cthe challenges you\u2019re grappling with in life\u2026 whether you\u2019re navigating the gray areas of marriage and raising kids, or dealing with a little friend drama\u2014or even figuring out how to put yourself out there in the dating world.\u201d<\/p>\n

Michelle Obama admitted she has always disliked politics, but it was her brother, Craig Robinson, who convinced her to support her husband in running for president.<\/h3>\n

The hosts will speak of Robinson\u2019s divorce from his first wife and his marriage to current wife Kelly McCrum Robinson. They will also address the rumors surrounding the alleged divorce of the Obamas that has been a much-discussed topic in recent months.<\/p>\n

The rumors of their separation spread so far that some media outlets claimed Barack Obama was dating\u00a0Friends<\/em>\u00a0star Jennifer Aniston. The\u00a0<\/em>actress, however, denied the rumors during an appearance on\u00a0Jimmy Kimmel Live<\/em>, saying she has only met the former president once.<\/p>\n

Michelle and her brother will eventually\u00a0introduce celebrity guests, some of whom appeared on Obama\u2019s previous production\u00a0The Michelle Obama Podcast<\/em>, including director Tyler Perry; and new guests, like actors Seth Rogen and Keke Palmer.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, the former first lady was a guest on Sophia Bush\u2019s podcast,\u00a0Work in Progress<\/em>, where she discussed life after her daughters have moved out.<\/p>\n

\u201c[Life] is whatever I want, Sophia, It\u2019s whatever I want,\u201d she said, adding that life of an \u201cempty nester\u201d is liberating.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s the first time in my life all of my choices are for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Michelle Obama then discussed the position of the woman in society, saying that when they give themselves the permission to prioritize themselves, they face struggles and issues.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s the thing that we as women, I think\u2026 we struggle with disappointing people. I mean, so much so, that this year people were\u2026 they couldn\u2019t even fathom that I was making a choice for myself that they had to assume that my husband and I are divorcing.\u201d<\/p>\n
