My Neighbor Destroyed My Kids\u2019 Halloween Decorations \u2014 My Revenge Backfired, Until the Truth Came Out<\/strong><\/p>\n

After my husband Joel died, Halloween became a special tradition for me and my two boys. Every October, we made homemade ghosts, glowing lanterns, and cardboard tombstones together.<\/p>\n

But our neighbor, Mrs. Whitmore, hated our decorations because they supposedly ruined her view of a beautiful red maple.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll call the police if you don\u2019t remove that junk!\u201d she threatened.<\/p>\n

I even brought her a pumpkin pie and promised to take everything down on November 1.<\/p>\n

The next afternoon, I returned home to find our decorations destroyed. The ghosts were in the gutter, the lanterns were smashed, and the tombstones had been thrown into the trash.<\/p>\n

My youngest son begged me to find his favorite ghost.<\/p>\n

Mrs. Whitmore stood across the street, sipping coffee and proudly declaring that the neighborhood looked better.<\/p>\n
