Bindi Irwin Recovering After Emergency Surgery<\/strong><\/p>\n Bindi Irwin, 26, gave fans an update after undergoing an emergency appendectomy shortly after arriving in Las Vegas for the Steve Irwin Gala. Hours after landing, she was rushed to the hospital with a ruptured appendix.<\/p>\n In an Instagram video from her hospital bed, Bindi shared that she’s on the road to recovery. During the surgery, doctors also discovered and removed 14 lesions from endometriosis and repaired a hernia caused by childbirth.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m so grateful to Dr. Seckin and Dr. Chu at Lenox Hill Hospital,\u201d she wrote. \u201cAfter months of discomfort, I had to seek help.
