She was called names like “blob fish” and “whale.” Instead of succumbing to the trolls, Melissa decided to fight back.<\/p>\n
She tweeted, “During the last round of trollgate, people said I should be banned from posting photos because I\u2019m too ugly. So I\u2019d like to commemorate this with these 3 selfies\u2026” The tweet gained attention, and Melissa posted a selfie every day for a year, growing her Instagram following from 7,500 to 100,000.
