Wendy Auger, a mother of four from Rochester, New Hampshire, was shocked when the DMV ordered her to give up her vanity plate \u201cPB4WEGO,\u201d which she\u2019d had for 15 years. The plate, a lighthearted reminder for her kids to \u201cpee before we go,\u201d was deemed by the DMV to reference \u201csexual or excretory acts.\u201d<\/p>\n

Auger, who often got compliments on the plate, was frustrated. \u201cIt\u2019s part of who we are as a family,\u201d she said. \u201cWho hasn\u2019t told their kids that?\u201d Referring to the state motto, she added, \u201cIf I have to take it off, then I\u2019m not living free.\u201d<\/p>\n

The DMV gave her 10 days to turn in the plate, offering a replacement at no charge. After sharing the notice on Facebook, her post went viral, with many calling the situation absurd.<\/p>\n

Eventually, the uproar caught the attention of Governor Chris Sununu, who overturned the DMV\u2019s decision, telling Auger in a voicemail, \u201cCommon sense prevailed.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
