President Trump says he’s in \u201cexcellent health,\u201d a claim backed by the White House doctor. His April 2025 exam, involving 14 specialists, found no major issues\u2014highlighting strong cardiac, neurological, and general physical health. Trump, now 78, has lost weight, improved his cholesterol, and continues to avoid smoking and drinking.<\/p>\n

But political strategist Rick Wilson warns the picture may not be so clear. He points to signs of cognitive decline in Trump\u2019s public behavior, such as frequent lapses, verbal confusion, and incoherence. \u201cThis is not the Trump of 2015 or even 2024,\u201d Wilson told Times Radio<\/em>. \u201cWhether he makes it through four years is an open question.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wilson, co-founder of the Lincoln Project, argues that passing cognitive screenings doesn’t rule out age-related decline. Journalist Timothy L. O\u2019Brien echoed this on MSNBC, saying Trump is haunted by his father\u2019s dementia and driven more by ego than strategy.<\/p>\n

Trump\u2019s detailed April health report was a shift from the vaguer statements in past campaigns. But critics note the absence of new cognitive test results since 2018, raising doubts about the full picture.<\/p>\n
