Buddy was taken in by the Tunica Humane Society in Mississippi and treated at Mississippi State University\u2019s College of Veterinary Medicine. Though the road to recovery was long and painful, Buddy showed remarkable resilience.<\/p>\n
Despite the trauma, Buddy\u2019s eyesight was preserved, and he began healing through multiple skin grafts and constant care. His bandages were slowly reduced, and his spirit remained strong.<\/p>\n
A major breakthrough came when Buddy could open his eyes without sedation for the first time in over three months \u2014 and he could still see. His personality blossomed again, becoming playful and joyful, often seen carrying a ball around the hospital.<\/p>\n
