U.S.\u2013Russia relations have been tense since Russia invaded Ukraine three years ago. Trump previously claimed to have a good relationship with Putin and once said he could end the war in 24 hours, asserting, \u201cI believe he wants peace.\u201d<\/p>\n
However, Trump\u2019s tone has changed. Recently, he said Putin was \u201cthrowing a lot of bullsh*t at the US\u201d and expressed being \u201cvery unhappy\u201d with him.<\/p>\n
According to CNN, during a 2024 campaign fundraiser, Trump told donors he warned Putin: \u201cIf you go into Ukraine, I\u2019m going to bomb the sh*t out of Moscow.\u201d He also said he gave a similar warning to China\u2019s President Xi over Taiwan.<\/p>\n
The audio was also cited in the book 2024<\/em> by Josh Dawsey, Tyler Pager, and Isaac Arnsdorf.
