At 24, her leg swelled to more than twice the size of the other, holding up to three liters of excess fluid. Feeling isolated and even suicidal, Meagan once wrote a note to her father. She wore only loose clothes and avoided skirts, dresses, and open conversations about her condition.<\/p>\n
