But on their return home, Jaxon complained of pain and later developed a rash and swelling. Despite being rushed to the hospital, his condition rapidly deteriorated, and he passed away on February 17 due to meningococcal disease \u2014 a fast-acting, deadly form of meningitis.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere were no warning signs,\u201d Sammy said. \u201cHe was fine just hours before.\u201d<\/p>\n
Jaxon, described as their \u201cmiracle baby\u201d after years of fertility struggles, left behind grieving parents determined to raise awareness. They hope sharing their story will save other children\u2019s lives.<\/p>\n
