It\u2019s heartbreaking how cruel people can be to innocent animals. One such case involved Buddy, a happy, non-aggressive dog who was horrifically burned in April 2021 when a child set him on fire. His face was scorched, and an extension cord was found around his neck. Due to the child\u2019s age (under 12), no charges were filed.<\/p>\n

Buddy was taken in by the Tunica Humane Society in Mississippi and treated by vets at Mississippi State University. Despite the severity of his injuries, he began a slow but promising recovery.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis vital signs are good, but this is just the beginning,\u201d said Dr. Elizabeth Swanson. Fortunately, Buddy\u2019s eyes were intact, and though his eyelids required surgery, he was expected to regain some vision.<\/p>\n

Buddy remained in good spirits and impressed his doctors with steady progress, even learning basic commands during treatment. In August, a major milestone came when his bandages were removed without sedation\u2014and he could see for the first time in three months.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe is happy and playful again,\u201d said Sandy Williams of the Humane Society. \u201cHe loves carrying around a big ball to show everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although Buddy still faces ongoing care\u2014sensitive skin, likely needing eye drops and sun protection\u2014his resilience and recovery have been remarkable. His story has inspired many and raised awareness about animal cruelty.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s truly shocking how cruel some people can be to dogs. These innocent animals too often endure senseless pain and suffering.<\/strong><\/p>\n

That was the case for one dog, who was the victim of a horrible attack in which his face was severely burned. But thankfully, he has since been making. a miraculous recovery, thanks to some kind vets.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In April 2021, the Tunica Humane Society reported that a dog named Buddy, described as a \u201chappy and carefree dog\u201d who was \u201cnever a threat to anyone,\u201d was\u00a0set on fire<\/a>. He was found with his\u00a0face completely scorched and charred black<\/a>, with an extension cord wrapped around his neck.<\/p>\n
