Karson suffered a brain hemorrhage and was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder, Non-ketotic hyperglycinemia (NKH), leaving doctors with a grim prognosis: he would be severely neurologically impaired, with minimal function, if he survived at all.<\/p>\n
Faced with impossible odds, Chelsea made the painful decision to remove Karson from life support. Doctors told the family he wouldn\u2019t survive more than 10 minutes.<\/p>\n
