Despite paramedics&#8217; efforts and eight days on life support, her brain was declared irreparably damaged.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"591\" data-end=\"870\">Described as \u201cdetermined, fun, cheeky and talented,\u201d Esra was a promising athlete and co-captain of her netball team. Her devastated parents recalled receiving the call no parent wants: \u201cCome get your daughter.\u201d They made the painful decision to say goodbye surrounded by family.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"872\" data-end=\"1015\">Langdon, a mother herself, was visibly emotional during the interview. Esra\u2019s siblings, friends, and wider community are shattered by the loss.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1017\" data-end=\"1189\">The Haynes family had never heard of chroming before Esra\u2019s death.
