Trump Hosts European Leaders at White House for Ukraine Peace Talks<\/strong><\/p>\n

All eyes were on the White House yesterday as Donald Trump hosted European leaders, including Ukraine\u2019s Volodymyr Zelenskyy, UK\u2019s Keir Starmer, and France\u2019s Emmanuel Macron, in a continued push to end the war in Ukraine.<\/p>\n

This followed Trump\u2019s private three-hour meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin last week. While no ceasefire terms were agreed, Trump claimed \u201cgreat progress\u201d was made.<\/p>\n

At yesterday\u2019s summit, European leaders met with Trump and Zelenskyy amid concerns Trump may concede too much to Putin in his pursuit of a quick deal. Ukraine has made clear it will not cede major territory, rejecting Putin\u2019s current terms as unacceptable.<\/p>\n

A hot mic captured Trump saying, \u201cI think he wants to make a deal for me,\u201d referring to Putin. The summit reportedly went well, with Starmer describing \u201creal progress\u201d and \u201ca sense of unity\u201d among the leaders.<\/p>\n

Starmer noted two key outcomes: an agreement for a bilateral negotiation between Putin and Zelenskyy, and a follow-up trilateral including Trump\u2014acknowledging Ukraine must be part of any resolution on territory, prisoners, and displaced children.<\/p>\n
