Erika Kirk, now widowed, is continuing the legacy of her late husband Charlie Kirk, who was shot and killed a few weeks ago. Since his death, she\u2019s been open about her grief and determined to carry on his work. Erika has appeared on The Charlie Kirk Show<\/em>, a program their children often watched \u2014 and recently, she revealed the touching reason why.<\/p>\n

In a heartfelt video from Charlie\u2019s former studio, Erika shared that she hasn’t yet told their two young children \u2014 a daughter born in August 2022 and a son born in May 2024 \u2014 the truth about their father\u2019s death. Instead, she told them he\u2019s \u201con a work trip with Jesus.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cCharlie always wanted to be remembered for his courage and faith,\u201d Erika said. \u201cHe loved me and our children deeply. My husband laid down his life for us and for our nation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Recalling a moment with their daughter, Erika said: \u201cShe asked, \u2018Where\u2019s Daddy?\u2019 I told her, \u2018He\u2019s on a work trip with Jesus, so he can afford your blueberry budget.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
