He first married model Cindy Crawford in 1991 after a whirlwind romance, but they divorced four years later, with Crawford citing their 17-year age gap as a challenge.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"768\" data-end=\"1112\">Seven years later, Gere married model and actress Carey Lowell.
