Bride secretly plans touching tribute for her deaf groom

Posted on November 1, 2025 By admin

There’s no better occasion to express love than a wedding — a once-in-a-lifetime union where couples strive to make every detail special.

For Australian couple Liz and Scott Shoesmith, their big day held an unforgettable moment. Scott is deaf, and the two communicate through sign language. Wanting to surprise her husband, Liz secretly prepared something beautiful.

As the song “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri played, Liz paused at the end of the aisle and began signing the lyrics to Scott. Every gesture was filled with love and grace, and Scott was moved to tears.

Liz later shared that she had been nervous but couldn’t look away once she met his eyes. When she finished, Scott led their guests in applause for his bride’s heartfelt performance — a moment he has replayed countless times since.

Though Scott cannot hear, Liz gave him a gift of love he’ll never forget.
